November - December 2023 Haul

So here is my last shopping confession of the year

Skincare and lip balms

Brush, concealers, eyeshadow and hand cream

Nuxe - Honey lip care (10 ml): This I grabbed in Paris after searching for it in January 2023 without success, I found this in the first pharmacy I visited in Paris this December.
Lumene - Pure arctic miracle 3 in 1 micellar cleansing water (250ml): I already have a big bottle of this micellar water, but as I got stranded in Copenhagen for one night without any makeup or cleansers, so I grabbed the most needed items for a one night sleep in Copenhagen.
Cosrx - Advanced snail 96 mucin power essence (100 ml): This was on a major sale in Ulta Beauty on black Friday, and as I had the chance to grab one I did decide to snatch one up as I am running low on my snail gel I already have, and do believe this does miracles for my skin.
Manufactura - Dead sea soft day face cream (50 ml): I purchased this on a holiday in Prague, as this brand came highly recommended and you always do need a face cream.
Lumene - Nordic hydra moisture balm (50 ml): This for sure was not a planned purchase, and as the micellar water was purchased as I needed a face cream for an unexpected overnight stay in Copenhagen. I do like the brand so I opted for a cream from this brand vs. something else.
By Terry - mini to go baume de rose lip care (2.3 gr): This I spotted at Prague airport and as this was a mini, and it is an item that is very hyped among beauty gurus I decided to give it a try.
Dermacol Prague - Master brush powder and blusher D56: I spotted a few of the Dermacol stores around the city of Prague, the makeup looked to be a bit of lower quality, but the brushes seemed to be of a decent quality, so I decided to grab one, and as a matter of a fact, I was having the hardest time to choose between two of them.
Nilens Jord - Second skin concealer no.2 Shell (3 ml): This I also picked up in Copenhagen, in Magasin du Nord, I did need a concealer, as the bare minimum, and I did not have this type of concealer in my stash, this kind of a click pen with a brush.
Mac - Eyeshadow - All that glitters (1.3 gr): This is another item I snatched up on a black Friday offer in Mac, as they were having a discount of everything in their stores.
Dermacol Prague - Magnolia flower care delicious hand cream (30 ml): This was gifted to me from the sales associate at the Dermacol store in Prage. Such a nice gesture, and will for sure come in handy as my hands tend to be dry.
Bare minerals - Multi tasking concealer broad spectrum spf 20 in bisque (2 g): I had been intrigued about this product for some time, and as I kept on getting red splotches on my face the current concealers I have at hand at the moment did not seem to stick I decided to give this a try. And it does work like a charm!!

So that concludes my purchases for the year 2023 - and soon there will be time to outline my goals for 2024, both for project pan and as what to buy and what not to buy.
Do you have any plans regarding your cosmetics in the coming year?

Project pan 2023 - final results

So how did I do on my project pan for 2023. Well first of all I did remove one item from the lot quite early on, that was the French lavender and honey fragrance mist from Bath and Body works. As the bottle was huge, and I did really not fancy the scent after all, and decided to sell it in a second hand shop booth I had booked in October. That fragrance mist unofficially got replaced with the perfume I attempted to finish in 2021: Our moment by One direction which is a whopping 100 ml bottle.

The 10 products I focused on in 2023

Update on usage

Supergoop - Zink Screen SPF 40 (50 ml):
Weight at the start of 2023 (with packaging and cap): 85 gr
Goal: Finish it
Weight at the end of 2023: 56 gr - which means I used about 18 g of sunscreen.
Estée Lauder - Pure color creme lipstick in Rose tea (0.12 oz/3.4 g):
Length at the start of 2023: measured from plastic base: 2.4 cm
Goal: Finish it
Length at the end of 2023: 1.9 cm
Becca - First light priming filter (15 ml):
Weight at the start of 2023 (with packaging and cap): 16 g
Goal: Finish it
End of 2023: finished (empty packaging weighs 5 g)
Elizabeth Arden - Green tea honey drops body cream (500 ml):
Weight at the start of 2023 (with packaging and cap): 245 g
Goal: Finish it
End of 2023: finished, empty packaging weighs 67 g, which means I used up about 178 g of product.
Caudalie - Beauty elexir (30 ml):
Estimated product at the start of 2023: 1/3
Goal: Finish it
End of 2023: finished
One direction - our moment eau de parfum (100 ml):
I replaced the body spray from Bath and body works for this parfum I had tried to finish in 2021, at the end of 2021 it weighed 304 g - I did not weigh it at the start of this project but now at the end of 2023 it weighs 278 g. So I assume over two years I managed to finish 26 g of parfum.
Kiehls - Midnight recovery concentrate (4 ml):
Amount left at the start of 2023: Just below half
Goal: Finish it
End of 2023: Finished.
Sensai - Bronzing gel in BG 62 Amber bronze (50 ml):
Weight at the start of 2023 (with packaging and cap): 64 g
Goal: Use 10 g of it
Weight at the end of 2023: 64 g - so instead of 10 g, I ended up using less than 1 g
Fenty Beauty - Match stick, matte skinstick in Amber (7.10 g):
Start of 2023: When fully screwed down, the product sticks out 6 mm from the packaging.
Goal: To use enough product that when it is fully screwed down, the product will not stick out at all.
End of 2023: it still sticks out about 3 mm - and that even I did use it considerably to contour.
Becca - Under eye brightening corrector (2.3 g):
Weight at the start of 2023 (with packaging and cap): 23 g
Goal: Use it up
Weight at the end of 2023: 23 g - and this is even when I really tried to focus on this product

Other goals for 2023:
1. No colored lipstick nor lip-gloss purchase in 2023 - well that was a fail as I bought 3 lip products over the course of the year.
2. No mascara purchase in 2023, second year in a row - I brought 2 of them into the year - one mini came with the birthday present from Sephora, the other I bought in Tukey.
3. Use a face mask once a week - that I did perhaps manage 12 times vs. 52 times.
4. Only buy one colored cosmetics per month - or 12 items in the year 2023 - This I did in the end actually stick to, even counting an unexpected product I bought in Copenhagen, but I can add to this number three testers or deluxe sample size products, two from Ilia and one from Rose inc.

So what is the total number of colored cosmetics I brought into my stash in 2023?

Ilia - The necessary eyeshadow palette in cool nude
Maybelline - eyeshadow in nude glow
Inglot - matte eyeshadow in 356
RMS Beauty - Buriti bronzer
Kjær Weis - brown eyeliner
Nars - gloss in Turkish delight
Elf - Halo glow liquid filter
Golden Rose - City style mascara
Glossier - eyeshadow trio in Almond
Ilia - Multi stick in at last (mini)
Ilia - Limitless mascara (mini)
Rose inc - tinted serum (tester)
Mac - all that glitters eyeshadow
Bare minerals - multitasking concealer
Nilens Jord - Second skin concealer

Then of course all the products I consider not to be of a color, for example 2 lip balms/oils, nail strengthener, 8 makeup brushes, creams, cleansers, body lotions, facial sprays, a scented body spray, mascara primer and hair products. For 2024 I really need to take firm course of action to stop this serious hoarding.

August - October Haul 2023

There is really a general theme for my purchases in 2023 - and the theme is called makeup brushes!!

The main haul of Augsut - October 2023

Sephora makeup brushes

Testers from Sephora

Elf - Halo glow liquid filter - 1 fair (31.5 ml): This is supposed to be a dupe for the famous Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood flawless filter. I have never tried the CT one, but this one looks promising. I will for sure have to work on a primer in 2024 for my project pan as I seem to have accumulated quite a few throughout the last few years.
Glow recipe x Barbie - Watermelon glow pink juice moisturizer (25 ml) and Watermelon glow niacinamide dew drops serum (15 ml): My friend asked me to grab one of these sets when I was in the US - and when I saw the packaging, a pink metal box I knew I had to grab one for myself as well.
Generic Value Products - Color protecting shampoo, compare to Matrix biolage color last shampoo (473 ml): My friend recommended this brand in Sally's Beauty, so I decided to grab a bottle, as I knew Matrix was a good brand, as my mom used to use that brand in her hair salon.
First aid beauty - KP smoothing body lotion with 10% AHA (170 g): I have the suspicion I suffer from keratosis pilaris (KP) on my legs, as they tend to be red and spotty. It could also just be eczema as in later years I have skin inflammation issues on my face, so it would be no surprise I have developed KP - so when at Ulta in Target I grabbed a tube with me to give a try.
Neutrogena -  Rapid wrinkle repair regenerating cream, accelerated retinol SA (48 g): I seriously had a shock after one of my flights to the US in October - the lighting in the restroom in my hotel room was too good, so I was able to spot some fine lines I had never spotted before, I went straight to Youtube to find a good retinol for sensitive skin, and this one was one of the ones that came highly recommended.
Glossier - Monochrome essential eyeshadow trio in almond (3.9 g): I am always drawn into small eyeshadow palettes (over bigger ones), and this came recommended by a few of the youtubers I tend to watch. I usually draw in a dark brown to complete the look, but I have one dark brown single laying around that pairs perfectly with this one, so I am not very disappointed by the fact that this is just a trio instead of a quad. Though quad for the packaging would have been nice.
Goden Rose - Mega volume city style mascara (9 ml): this purchase broke one my rules for 2023 - not to buy any mascara, but as I was traveling around in Turkey, I just had to grab one of my favorite mascara on that trip.
Sephora - Pro foundation 47: I got tempted to buy this brush and the following during the latest Sephora sale, on 30% discount.
Sephora - Pro shadow 14: I also got this one on a Sephora 30% sale - in retrospect maybe I should have gotten the smaller eyeshadow brush number 15.
Sephora beauty insider - Glow recipe - Watermelon glow niacinamide dew drops (15 ml) and Watermelon glow PHA + BHA pore tight toner (25 ml): I was gifted these products and the following while browsing in Sephora, Georgetown Washington.
JVN - Complete air dry cream (20 ml): I was also gifted this item in Sephora. I am not entirely sure what is the purpose of this product, do we need a cream in the hair to let it air dry now?

Did you buy something of late?

According to my calculations I have purchased 9 colored items of the 12 I set my self out as a maximum purchase of 2023 of colored cosmetics products - then to that number I can add 3 sample sizes:

Ilia - The necessary eyeshadow palette in cool nude
Maybelline - eyeshadow in nude glow
Inglot - matte eyeshadow in 356
RMS Beauty - Buriti bronzer
Kjær Weis - brown eyeliner
Nars - gloss in Turkish delight
Elf - Halo glow liquid filter
Golden Rose - City style mascara
Glossier - eyeshadow trio in Almond
Ilia - Multi stick in at last (mini)
Ilia - Limitless mascara (mini)
Rose inc - tinted serum (tester)

Total of 12 colored cosmetics, three of the items are testers/gift with purchase sizes, so I wonder if they should could towards the total 12 count? Still there is quite some product in those samples.
What of the items I purchased I could have skipped? Or which of these I did not like so much in retrospect? Number one that comes to mind, and most likely the only item on this list; the Inglot eyeshadow, it is superdry and almost no pigment comes off from it.
Best purchase? The eyeliner from Kjær Weis and the Turkish delight gloss from Nars - those two are amazing.
Nota bene I have not started to use the following: Ilia multi stick, Ilia mascara, Rose inc tinted serum, Elf halo glow and the Golden rose mascara..

April - July haul 2023

So here is the update on my continued shopping spree of 2023 - this one is spray and brush heavy!!

Haul in April - July

Testers + samples

Carroten face mask

Dior - Diorshow maximizer 3D triple action lash-primer serum (10 ml): I had been curious about this white mascara primer trend. I am not completely sold on it, I just find it a bit of a kefaffle of an extra step while putting on my makeup.
Nars - Afterglow lip shine gloss in Turkish delight (5.5 ml): This gloss Kim Kardashian made famous years ago. It has been on my radar for years, and in spite of one of my main goals for 2023 was not to buy a colored lip product during the year (as I have more than enough of them). But this product is BEAUTIFUL with a medium dark mauve pink lip liner!
Moroccanoil - Brumes du Maroc fragrance mist (30 ml): This I had been eying for a few months, all since I bought the Moroccanoil body oil, as I loved the smell of it - this has a very similar scent, but still it smells less jucy than the body oil.
Bioeffect - Osa water mist (60 ml): This I got tempted to buy in the duty free store in Iceland on my way to my summer holiday. Have not tried it yet as I have way too many facial spreys.
Mac - Prep+Prime Fix+ Goldlite (100 ml): I ran into this product at Nordstrom Rack, and got seriously tempted, did I need it? No! Did I buy it? Yes.
Nailberry - Strengthen & breathe base coat (15 ml): I had no intention to buy any more nail-polish products in this year, but I had a remaining credit in Elira from a birthday gift, and they were promoting 20% off everything, so I decided to finish it before it would expire or worse yet, I would forget about it.
Sol de Janero - Rio radiance cream - Cheriosa 87 fragrance - Illuminating mica (75 ml): I love the smell of this body lotion, and the shimmer radiance it gives off, it is perfect for summer. I was seriously tempted to buy the bigger size, but decided to opt for the smaller one, as I have more than enough body lotions stashed away.
Rose Inc - Blush brush no.2: I was scouting for a blush brush to blend out cream blushes, and I was debating between this one and Sephora no. 47, but that one was sold out in 3 Sephora stores I visited during the Sephora sale this spring. Rose Inc were promoting a discount at the same time so I grabbed this one - to my surprise though, I still prefer to blend 2 out of my 3 cream blushes with my fingers.
It Cosmetics - Heavenly luxe complexion perfection brush no. 7:
Sephora - Pro crease 26 + pro crease 24: During the Sephora sale this spring, I was able to grab these brushes. And wow, did these blow my mind, I previously had some prejudice against the Sephora line - and gosh was I wrong! Now I want every brush they make!
Hourglass - Ambient powder brush: This I grabbed at Toronto airport as our flight was delayed, and we had some extra time to wonder around the airport. Oh my gosh, who knew you could even find Pat McGrath at an airport. But this brush was considerably cheaper at the airport - and it even came with a travel pouch, that snaps close with a magnetic snap.
Rose Inc - Reusable cosmetics rounds: With my purchase from Rose Inc I could choose two testers, so I chose this one and the next one.
Rose Inc - Skin enhance luminous tinted serum in color 040 (6 ml): I had been super curious about this product, so to be able to get a sample with purchase was perfect.
Marc Inbane - Perle de soleil tanning drops (1 ml): They were giving these away at Kringlan shopping mall in Iceland during some midnight opening early this summer. I had been curious about this brand, but with 1 ml I am not even sure I can get an idea about the brand.
Kalliston - Sun protect cream spf 30 (2 ml): This I got as a gift with purchase while on holiday in Crete. I will throw this in my suitcase for work and it will for sure be used - not sure I will put it on my face though, as I tend to be sensitive to ingredients in sun lotions.
Pharm aid - Aloe treasures - Intimate care mild antiseptic cleansing liquid (5 ml): At first I just assumed this was an aloe vera gel as there were big pictures of aloe vera plants on the tester - it was jus now I realized it is an "intimate mild cleanser" - which I find hilarious.
Carroten - Be cool after sun face mask (20 ml): I bought this while on holiday in Crete - as it would be the perfect facial pamper in the sun.

Now I really need to reel it in and stop purchasing brushes and facial sprays and focus on using some of these items up. As a matter of fact, I am over these shopping sprees - or so I keep telling myself, that might also have something to do with the fact I have a closet full of clothes I am planning to sell in one of these second hand store this autumn, and I have also uploaded some of them in one of the online stores in Iceland.

So now it is more out with the old - and let's not drag too much in!!

January - March Haul 2023

So here is what I hauled in January to March, plus a few birthday treats....

Cosmetics and a hair oil

Skin care

Ilia - Multi stick - At last (2.5 g): This was a part of the Sephora birthday gift I chose for myself this year
Ilia - Limitless mascara - After midnight (3 g): This mascara sample also came with the Sephora birthday gift.
JVN - Complete pre-wash scalp oil (50 ml): I decided to pick this up, as I have been dealing with an itchy scalp in the last few weeks. Hope it will work some magic for me.
Ilia - The necessary eyeshadow palette - Cool Nude (6x1.5 g): I had been quite interested in a talc-free eyeshadow formula as my eyelids have started to feel quite dry, and borderline peeling at times. So this being talc free and with vitamine E sounded like a great idea. It was some bit of a learning curve how to use the shades, they are quite powder and at first they seemed hard to blend, but the formula requires me to put down the light color all over my eyelid as base, before working on the other colors.
Maybelline - Expert wear eyeshadow - 40S Nude glow (2.3 g): I got this one by a recommendation from Jessica Braun - and supposedly it is a close dupe to Mac All that glitters.
Inglot - Eyeshadow matte - 356 (3 g): I grabbed this single shadow during an online discount with Inglot. But I had been eyeing the Dior Backstage Cool neutrals palette, as it had similar colors to the Ilia Cool Nude one, but the Ilia was missing a matte light pink shade. So I decided to order it online from Inglot to be able to get a similar look to the Dior palette.
RMS Beauty - Buriti bronzer (5.67 g): My friend gave me a credit in Elira, a relatively new beauty store in Iceland. They sell amongst other brands RMS and Roen. So it was a hard choice between this bronzer, an RMS blush or a Roen quad. And I decided with the Buriti bronzer as I would get the most use out of it.
Kjær Weis - Eye pencil - Brown (1.1 g): I picked this up in Blue Mercury in NYC for a ridiculous price for an eye-liner, due to it not being a "refill" but as it came with the silver cap. The brown color is beautiful, and I will for sure buy a refill going forward. It is supposedly organic and I assume better for your eyes.
Neutrogena - Cica-repair hand mask (1 pair): My friends gave this to me as a part of a care pack - when we went to Copenhagen for my birthday trip.
Up & Up - Advanced scar gel skin protectant (20 g): I was on the hunt for a Mederma in Target, but I spotted this one next to Mederma, and it has exactly the same ingredients in it, and was considerably cheaper than Mederma. So I picked this up for my chapped knee, hoping it will diminish the likelihood of a permanent scar.
Biotherm - Aquasource gel (1 ml): This sample also came with my birthday care pack.
Biotherm - Aquasource Aura concentrate - Intense regenerating serum moisture and glow (2 ml): Also a part of the birthday care pack.
Biotherm - Aqua glow super concentrate (1 ml): Part of the birthday care pack.
Biotherm - Aqua pure super concentrate (1 ml): And lastly, also a part of the birthday care pack.

So with these purchases, I have managed to use up my color cosmetics shopping quota for January - May - and it's only March!!

Project pan 2023

So it's the time of year to choose my items for my project pan, set a few goals, and try my best to reach them.

As so many years before I have chosen 10 items, to finish - or reach a certain goal with:

The 10 products in my project pan 2023

Status of the Fenty match stix and Becca under eye corrector

Supergoop - Zink Screen SPF 40 (50 ml):
Weight at the start of 2023 (with packaging and cap): 85 gr
Goal: Finish it
Why: It technically has expired, and I want to use it up, plus I should make a habit to use spf on the daily
Estée Lauder - Pure color creme lipstick in Rose tea (0.12 oz/3.4 g):
Length at the start of 2023 (measured from plastic base: 2.4 cm
Goal: Finish it
Why: It is getting old and I want to get more use out of it
Becca - First light priming filter (15 ml):
Weight at the start of 2023 (with packaging and cap): 16 g
Goal: Finish it
Why: I bought it around Christmas time in 2019 - and I have several primers, so I need to start to use them up, and this is quite small and should be manageable.
Elizabeth Arden - Green tea honey drops body cream (500 ml):
Weight at the start of 2023 (with packaging and cap): 245 g
Goal: Finish it
Why: The remaining product was left outstanding after Project pan 2022, so this year I want to use it up
Caudalie - Beauty elexir (30 ml):
Estimated product at the start of 2023: 1/3
Goal: Finish it
Why: It has a heavy scent to it and it would be good to have one less setting spray in my collection
Bath and Body works - Fine fragrance mist in French lavender and honey (236 ml):
Goal: Use about 1/3 of the remaining product - or down to the lower purple line on the bottle
Why: It is getting older and I want to get some use out of it.
Kiehls - Midnight recovery concentrate (4 ml):
Amount left at the start of 2023: Just below half
Goal: Finish it
Why: I got it some time back, and have several serums and similar products in my stash, so I thought this one could be finished quite fast, so I could focus on other items.
Sensai - Bronzing gel in BG 62 Amber bronze (50 ml):
Weight at the start of 2023 (with packaging and cap): 64 g
Goal: Use 10 g of it
Why: I have never gotten into the habit of using this bronzing gel, as it remains quite a hyped product within Iceland. So I want to try to figure out a way if I can use this product.
Fenty Beauty - Match stick, matte skinstick in Amber (7.10 g):
Start of 2023: When fully screwed down, the product sticks out 6 mm from the packaging.
Goal: To use enough product that when it is fully screwed down, the product will not stick out at all.
Why: This is the original formula, and I must have bought it in 2019, so it is about time I get some use out of it.
Becca - Under eye brightening corrector (2.3 g):
Weight at the start of 2023 (with packaging and cap): 23 g
Goal: Use it up
Why: I have owned this since the end of 2019, even though I did not start to use it until late 2020 - it is time to finish it up, plus I have a full size backup.

Other goals for 2023:
1. No colored lipstick nor lip-gloss purchase in 2023
2. No mascara purchase in 2023, second year in a row
3. Use a face mask once a week
4. Only buy one colored cosmetics per month - or 12 items in the year 2023

Empties January - December 2022

So for the duration of 2022 I have collected all the items I have finished up during the year - and it is a lot! So I can say this is a successful year of using up stuff.. and then I also did somewhat of a de-clutter, which was really needed, in particular within the color cosmetics "category" as some of my cosmetics are were getting old and had at this point expired.

Items finished abroad in July 2022

Skincare, hair care, body care empties

Skincare, cleaners and color cosmetics empties

Face masks, eye masks and serum testers

Face mask, serum testers, hair mask and body lotion tester

De-clutters of 2022

Clinique - Mineral sunscreen fluid for face SPF 30 (30 ml): I finished this sunscreen when I was on holiday in Croatia. I had owned it for a few years, and love the formula, light a little bit oily and it even works under a foundation.
Crabtree & Evelyn -Verbena and lavender body lotion (24 ml): This I must have gotten at one of my hotel stays, and I decided to grab it with me to go for a one week holiday in Croatia, as it would be allowed on my carry-on luggage, and that was the only luggage I took with me on that holiday. It is just an average milky body lotion.
The Body Shop - Avocado body butter (8 ml): This was also a perfect size to take with me on holiday - and it is an amazing body butter, super rich and nourishing on skin that has spent a day in the sun.
TRESemmé - Moisture rich conditioner (500 ml): One of the better hair conditioner I have purchased in Bónus supermarket in Iceland. I would 100% buy it again.
John Frieda - Brilliant Brunette moisturizing shampoo (750 ml): This bottle has lasted me several years and I am always as happy about it - not stripping but leaves your hair clean.
Pantene Pro V miracles - Grow strong biotin + bamboo shampoo (400 ml): I still love the Pantene Pro shampoos in general and this is no exception.
Natural Olive - Body lotion (35 ml): This is probably the biggest bullshit product I have ever gotten at one of my hotel stays around the world - as I got this in Greece, world renowned for their olives - and this body lotion was made in China! Really? Yes, just an average body milk that I randomly used up.
The Body Shop - Sweet lemon shower gel (250 ml): a good standard shower gel - was gifted to me a few years ago.
Apivita - Face and body milk apricot and calendula SPF 50 (150 ml): This I picked up while on holiday in Greece a few years back, it had a heavy smell of apricot, but I really grew to love the scent - the cream was super thick and white and could get stuck in your swimsuit, but it did a good job of protecting you from the sun. After I could not squeeze a drop more out of the tube, I cut it in half and got so much more use out of it.
Kiss my face - Natural active life aluminum chlorohydrate & paraben free deodorant (70 g): I bought five of these deodorants a few years back when I was trying to find a aluminum free deodorant, and as this was scent free and only available in a 5 pack - I ordered it and gifted a few of them to friends and family and finally finished mine last year, and then I mean completely finished it - dug out the remaining product in the base and used every bit of it.
The Body Shop - Boost uplifting hair and body wash (tester): I got this as a free gift with purchase when I bought something in The Body Shop, it was surprisingly good (for a shampoo + body wash product) and I loved the scent - I would even consider to buy it full size.
Zenology -Nourishing shampoo (30 ml): one of my hotel shampoos, perfect for the gym or while travelling.
Sóley Organics - Eygló moisturiser (50 ml): I love this face cream. It has clean and I assume organic ingredients and did not irritate my skin at all. The company even offers a refill - so I can take the container to the company and just pay for the refill. I will for sure do that some time in the future.
Peter Thomas Roth - Mega rich shampoo (24 ml): this is an ok shampoo, a little bit stripping for my hair, but is ok to use from time to time.
Crabtree & Evelyn - La source ultra moisturizing hand therapy (25 g): this hand cream is quite good, but excellent maybe not.
& Other stories - Fig Fiction hand cream (30 ml): also this was a good hand cream, better than the Crabtree & Evelyn one.
The Body Shop - Aloe calming toner (250 ml): my absolute favorite toner - will keep on repurchasing.
Sephora - Waterproof eye makeup remover (200 ml): one of those good eye makeup removers that mixes an oil and water based cleanser.
CeraVe - Micellar cleansing water (295 ml): my friend absolutely swears by this product - I on the other hand did not find it so amazing.
Thayers - Witch hazel aloe vera formula cucumber toner (89 ml): this size I thought to be the ultimate travel size, or for the gym - the only downside is the cap that apparently opens up super easily - and spills in your gym bag, so sadly half of this product, literally went to waste.
Santorini herbals - Eye cream lightening (30 ml): as the name might suggest I did pick up this product in Santorini - buying skincare, that can be kind of a souvenir, right? It was quite good though.
Blue lagoon - Hydrating cream (20 ml): this I mistakenly opened thinking it was a face mask, as it comes in the same packaging. This was a "deluxe" sized tester and it was nothing beyond an average face cream.
Lumene - Instant glow beauty serum (30 ml): I used this as a light foundation. It was super light and serum-like and gave a luminous finish.
Skyn Iceland - Pure cloud cream (10 ml): this I used up at the start of the year, and do not remember anything in particular about this cream other than I thought it was pleasant and fluffy in texture.
Estee Lauder - Advanced night repair (7 ml): as many people swear by this product, I can not say I was blow away by it, but then again I did not use it consistently - if anything I think it aggravated my perioral dermatitis, so I would stay away from it in the future. But it was a part of my Project pan 2022 - so indeed I am glad it is finished.
Golden Rose - City style mascara (9 ml): this mascara is one of my favorite mascaras - too bad I am on a mascara ban, and have way to many samples waiting for me to open them up - other vise it would be repurchased.
Gina Tricot - Beauty eyes eyeshadow in 42 caramel (1.8 g): this eyeshadow was the perfect crease color, and was part of my Beauty goals for 2021 - and the fact that there was so little left of it by the end of 2021 I continued using it for every day in 2022 until it crumbled and turned to dust and I used up every single dust of it (well apart from those who literally fell down the drain).
Mac - Studio fix fluid in NC15 (tester): this tiny tester lasted me surprisingly long, it was quite good color match for me. And surprisingly did not irritate my perioral dermatitis.
Yves Sant Laaurent - Volupté tint in oil No. 4 (6 ml): this product was a part of my Project pan 2022 and I had been on a mission to use it up - so finally it is finished. It was good, but I was a bit tired of it after putting it into my project pan.
Dr. Bragi - Marine enzyme intensive treatment mask (10 ml): don't get me wrong, this is a good face mask, but I am sure it is not worth the price tag, but I have a sense Dr. Bragi products are super expensive, but I received this as a gift.
Real Nature - Calendula face mask (20 g): this brand is WAY extra in the amount it carries in their face masks - after wearing the mask on my face, I was able to use the tissue to wipe my entire body down and it was still a bit moist after - and there was plenty of liquid left in the pouch, which I poured into a small jar and used several times after it's initial use.
Real Nature - Cucumber face mask (20 g): The same was for this face mask, plenty of product, and I was able to use the left over liquid for a few applications. Feels moisturizing and calming.
Blue Lagoon - Silica mud mask (7 ml): I am always a little bit apprehensive about the Blue Lagoon products, as some of them are super strong, and some of them even leave my skin a little bit red afterwards. This is the "flagship" product of the lagoon, and it does indeed work, and you literally feel how super soft it leaves your skin afterwards.
Nature Republic - Vitapair C dark spot serum (tester): my friend gifted this to me, and as I was already on a roll with testers I decided to use this one up as well.
Bio Effect - Eye mask (2 sheets x 1.25 g): eye-masks always leave me a little bit baffled as I do not have dry skin under my eyes - so I always wonder if they do something at all - and that turned out to be the same for this one.
It cosmetics - Confidence in a cream (tester): even though the tester was small, I could well consider to buy it full size one day.
Taramar - Day treatment cell activating cream (tester): this tester lasted 2 or 3 times and was ok
Skyn Iceland - Hydro cool firming face gels - for forehead (6 g): The texture of this I remember was a bit unique, a bit gel like - and really felt cooling. This was gifted to me and I sincerely believe I would have tried it out or would repurchase.
Garnier - Moisture bomb tissue mask (32 g): This face mask even contains more product than the Real Nature one, and the liquid left in the pouch I was able to use for other applications.
Caudalie - Vinoperfect radiance serum (2x 1.5 ml): these small packs are perfect for work to take with me abroad - even though one of these packets lasts for 2-3 applications.
Mythos - Hair mask olive extract + honey (7 ml): This would have been perfect to take with me on the holiday to Croatia - as the end of my hair turned to shit with the sun and sea - and I had to buy the only available hair mask brand on the island of Vis - which turned out to be a huge jar.
The Body Shop - Shea body butter (8 ml): like most of the body butters from The Body Shop, it did not disappoint.

Then to the de-clutters of 2022:
Korres - Sunflower and evening primrose eyeshadow - 47 Olive green (1.8 g): This eyeshadow had clearly gone bad, I have the feeling the oils in it have dried out and when I tried to apply it several times at the end of the year (either with a brush or with my fingers) hardly any color was deposited. I even tried to scrape some top layer off, but that did not make any difference. So out it goes. I bought it in 2015 - and it states on the back to have a 36 month shelf life - so I guess it was just past it's due date.
Kiko Make up Milano - Face 103: I bought this brush while on holiday in Milano as a matter of fact in 2012. It is a type they do not make anymore, so I am not sure if it is a real hair brush, but I suspect so as the brush picked up quite a lot of product, and the hairs had started to become brittle and were braking so much I decided to retire it and replace it with another brush from Kiko my friend picked up for me on holiday a few years ago. It will remain as the "golden standard" of brushes, as I really liked the slanted cut and how it applied blush. So much as a matter of fact I did repair it a few years ago, when the metal part fell of the handle and I did glue it back. And it did last just over 10 years and it will be missed - but it is just to annoying to use at this point.
Too Faced - Lipstick in the color Marcia Marcia Marcia (3.5 g): This lipstick is probably one of the oldest items in my entire collection, and I know exactly when and where I bought it - in Sephora in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2008 - and it was on sale! I have perhaps used about 1/3 of the bullet, it is a very pink shimmery color, but was perfect with other lipsticks as a "highlight" on the center of the lips.
Clinique - Long last glosswear SPF 15 - 04 Sunset (2.3 ml): This gloss my mom gave to me when she was rampaging through some of her closet space - it was always super sticky and the color too coppery. I never used it, so it is about time to let it go.
Milani - Lipstick in 26 Nude crème (3.97 g): This I purchased with a gift card in an online store that used to operate in Iceland a few years back. But the issue from day one was the fact that the color did not suit me at all - either my skin tone or hair color - it just did not work out.
GrandeLash MD - Lash enhancing serum (2 ml): This product was one of the products in my Project pan 2022, but it did not turn better out than that I used it a bit at the start of 2022 - and then I took a session in the later half of the year, but then my eyes became super sensitive and after watching a Youtube video about the main active ingredient in this product I ended up pouring it down the drain - to stop me from using it any further.
Wet 'n' Wild - Fergie lipstick - A033 Fergie daily (0.1 oz): This is another prime example of an awful color on me! When on me, it mostly reminds me of "concealer" lips. Way old as well, probably bought on a holiday in US in 2015.
Wet 'n' Wild - Eye shadow palette - 738 Comfort zone (8 shades original version): I probably got this palette in NYC 2014, and I had depotted it, put magnets under the pans and put it into my Inglot palette. But as one of the Project pan 2022 missions was to de-clutter some old items from my collection, so when going over few older items in my collection, I came to this palette, and OMG it smelled like old Crayola wax-colors, so it was time to throw this away.

This for sure is the biggest amount of items I have used up in a year, and also the biggest de-clutter I have done so far - now I just have to stay focused on the goal, to get rid of more stuff than I am bringing in.
