Project pan 2026

Happy new year - welcome 2026. As in the few last years, I have a few items I would like to move out of my collection in 2026, or get some use out of. I have plans to finish several of the products, and then get a partial use, or make a dent into others.

Full sizes and a few deluxe sizes in my project pan 2026

Testers and deluxe samples in my project pan 2026

This year I have a mix of full size products, deluxe samples, and small samples in my project pan. Ten full size products, where I plan to use up nine of them, and use about half of one of them. A few deluxe samples that will be quick and easy to use in the course of a few months and give me a boost into the year.

Neutrogena - Rapid wrinkle repair regenerating cream (48 g):
Weight at the start of 2026: 185 grams
Goal: Finish it
Why: I should only use this once or two times per week (and layered with another moisturizer), it has already expired, so I want to get some use out of it
Macadamia - Oil extract hair mask (250 ml):
Weight at the start of 2026: 130 grams
Goal: Finish it
Why: I bought it a few years ago now, my hair is quite dry at the ends, so this is the perfect time to use it up
Clarins - Radiance-plus golden glow booster (15 ml):
Remaining amount at the start of 2026: Maybe 1/3 of the product remains - as it sits on the upper part of the text; "Radiance-plus"
Goal: Finish it
Why: This has been in my project pan before - and I want to move it out of my stash this time
Dove - Summer glow nourishing lotion with subtle gradual self-tanner (250 ml):
Weight at the start of 2026: 233 grams
Goal: Finish it
Why: It is getting older in my stash
Kiko Milano - Intensive hand cream (60 ml):
Weight at the start of 2026: 55 grams
Goal: Finish it
Why: It is getting older in my stash, and time to use it up
BioEffect - Egf body serum (120 ml):
Weight at the start of 2026: 143 grams
Goal: Finish it
Why: It is a roll over product from my project pan 2025
Lancome - L'absolu lacquer in 323 shine manifesto (3 ml):
Remaining amount at the start of 2026: About half
Goal: Finish it
Why: It is small and should be easy to use up and I like the color. I also tend to switch my lip products during the season, and this being a small one, there is a higher chance for me to be able to finish a small one over the course of the year.
Mac - Strobe cream in Pinklite (50 ml):
Remaining amount at the start of 2026: The product sits perhaps 4 millimeters below the Mac logo on the packaging
Goal: Use up about half of the remaining primer - so the product will reach (when standing upright) just below the pink label on the front of the packaging.
Why: I have a few primers waiting on the sideline, yet to be opened and I really do not want them to go bad (as I think happened to one primer in 2025). And also I really like this primer so I want to get some use out of it. From the results of my project pans in 2024 and 2025, I seem to be able to use up about half of a 30 ml primer, or about 15 ml in a year. This one has 50 ml of product, but I already have used a bit of it, as well as I finished the primer for my project pan in 2025 a few months before the end of 2025 - and then I started on this one.
HarKlinikken - Balancing shampoo cleansing & neutralizing (250 ml):
Remaining amount at the start of 2026: The shampoo sits just below the text shampoo.
Goal: Finish it
Why: It is getting older in my stash and would be nice to just get rid of some items from my bathroom cabinet. I already have a backup, and I don't even like it in perticular.
Clarins - Lip comfort oil in 04 pitaya (7 ml):
Remaining amount at the start of 2026: About 60% of the product remains.
Goal: Finish it
Why: I was gifted this for Crristmas in 2022, so for an oil product, this is getting up there in age. I want to get my use out of it, and it will (at least for this season live in my work handbag).
Spectro Sensitive skin care - Cleanser blemish-prone skin (200 ml):
Remaining amount at the start of 2026: 216 grams
Goal: Use it up
Why: My nephew bought it in the states for me years ago, and I have only used it a handful of times. It is supposed to be good for perioral dermatitis, and not irritate the skin. I still prefer my African black soap from Shea moisture, but it is about time for me to use this up. The sad part is I do not in particular like it, it does not foam and almost feels like cleaning your face with nothing. So realistically I would only use this for my morning routine, not not after makeup as I feel it would not clean any residue of makeup off.
Lancome - Rose sugar scrub gentle exfoliating scrub (15 ml):
Weight at the start of 2026: 22 grams
Goal: Finish it
Why: It is small and should be easy to use up
Vieve - Super skin nova (1 ml):
Why use this tester: I have a tendency not to use testers, I just got this one, and I have this primer in a small size (12 ml) and I have not opened it yet - but still curious how it feels and if it is nice, so now I get a chance to use this new sample and test my new primer (still without opening the bigger one).
Laura Mercier - Caviar stick eye color in Strapless (1 g):
Remaining amount at the start of 2026: 1.7 cm of product when it is fully screwed up
Goal: Use 0.5 cm of the product
Why: This was a part of the Sephora birthday gift from 2022, I have not used it often, and when I was about to use it the other day I felt the stick had become loose from the base, so I took the product in stuck it back into the base. This surely means the product has started to dry, and would be nice to get some use out of it. The color is described by Laura Mercier as a soft nude shimmer - I would also say it has a pink hue to it, so it should be an easy color to use throughout the year
Nature Republic - Snail solution emulsion brightening and wrinkle improvement:
Remaining amount at the start of 2025: About half
Why use it up: It is small and maybe quick to use up
BioSelect - Cretan remedy dictamelia ointment (1 ml)
Why use this sample: I got this in Greece on holiday a few years ago, and I could for sure use this on the scar I have on my knee or on my super dry hands.
Erborian - BB Creme au gingseng (1.5 ml):
Why use this sample: I have two sachets of this product, it has been very popular, or viral even, so it would be ideal to use.
Summer Fridays - Rich cushion cream ultra plumping moisturizer (2 ml):
Why use this sample : This also is a relatively new sample, as I got it with my Sephora birthday gift in 2025 and would be nice to use some of these samples while they are still new and "fresh"

So all in all, I have plans to use up nine full size items, use 50% of the remaining amount of one full size primer, finish two deluxe size samples, make a dent into one deluxe size eye color, and finish four samples.

Other goals for 2026: After failing in a major way for all my other goals in my project pan 2025, I think I will not make some grand no-buy goals for 2026 - I know I have too much makeup and beauty products in general. But perhaps it would not be a bad idea to buy fewer color products in 2026 vs 2025 - which would mean fewer than 11 - so on average it means I can buy less color cosmetics than one a month. We will see what 2026 will bring.

January - March haul 2024

So here is my haul for the first three months of the year, they are a mixed bunch, some are purchases I made abroad and some are birthday gifts. My project pan for 2024 is not completely going as planned, as I stocked up on an item I had really no plans to stock up on... but I hope it will go better moving forward in the year 2024.

Glow cream, toner, cleanser, creams and a tinted moisturizer

Glow powder, fizz tamers, lip products and eye wands

Face masks

Barbie beauty bag

Bondi Sands - Gloss finishing glow instant luminous bronzed sheen for face and body (100 ml): My friend gave this to me for my birthday, we had seen it used by someone on social media and it looked really nice, she was so sweet to remember, and gifted it to me amongst other things.
The body shop - Aloe soothing toner (250 ml): I grabbed this during a sales night in Kringlan shopping mall when The body shop was offering 20 or 25% off of everything in store. As I have almost finished my current bottle of this, I thought it was ideal to buy one on a discount as there are just a few weeks
Clinique - Take the day off cleansing balm (125 ml): I had made it one of my goals in my project pan for 2024, not to purchase it again until I had finished some of my makeup removers, but it was on such a good price I caved in and bought it for later.
Peach & Lily - Matcha pudding antioxidant cream (25 ml): As a Ulta member, and happened to be close to an Ulta store in February (my birthday month), I did go in store and got to choose amongst pre selected items and was torn between this and a Kopari body cream, and ended on choosing this one.
Ecooking - Night cream (50 ml): I grabbed this item whilst at work, during a flight back and forth to Kastrup airport Copenhagen, but as we had an unusually long stop in at CPH I ran into the duty free and bought this plus the Tromborg item listed below. I had just finished the jar of this I had before, and I LOVE it.
Dr. Jart - Ceramidin cream mist, intensive moisturizing (110 ml): My friend who gave me the Bodi Sands product also gave me this ceramidin cream mist, as I had mentioned to her I was very curious about this product (again I had seen on some instragram feed of an influencer).
Saie - Slip tint broad spectrum spf 35 sunscreen tinted moisturizer (40 ml): I got tempted to buy this during one of my many Sephora visits, as it contains mineral spf, and could be perfect for work.
Garnier Fructis - Sleek and shine frizz tamer (8 ml): This I came across in one of the US drug store and thought it would be amazing, it is not so great. But it will suffice to use while I stay abroad for work for simple hair fixes, but for the stubborn small hairs, it does not work.
Kosas  - Air brow clear lifting treatment gel (1.77 g): This with the Kosas lip oil was a part of the Sephora birthday gift for 2024. There were a few options, and I was going back and forth between this one and a skincare set from Youth to the people. But for the makeup hoarder I am of course I opted for more makeup.
Nature Republic - Honey melting lip in 01 Apricot (2.7 g): I saw Stait of Kait featuring this in one of her videos, and it sounded super nice, so I decided to grab in whilst in New York for work. So there went 50% of my colored lip product quota for 2024.
Tromborg - Baked minerals in silk (5.5 g): I had been eyeing this product for years, and finally pulled the trigger during a turnaround in CPH. It is a little bit dark and golden for a traditional highlighter (they also sell a lighter color called Highlight) but as this has been hyped among Danish beauty-bloggers for year I went with Silk.
Vieve - Eye wand in Hazelnut (1.4 g): I came across this brand not too long ago, and I had been very intrigued about it. And as I went on a short holiday with my friends to the UK, I decided to order some products and have them shipped my hotel in England. I chose this color as it is a medium brown shade and probably super versatile.
Vieve - Eye wand in Sand (1.4. g): I decided to grab another item from Vieve, as so many times before, I was torn between another eye wand and a liquid blush. But opted for the eye wand as I am trying to reel it in on the liquid or cream blushes.
Kosas - Wet lip oil gloss plumping treatment gloss in Unbottoned (2 ml): The other half of the Sephora birthday gift. I swatched the color in store, and from there, there was no going back. The makeup birthday gift it would be.
Purederm skin solutions - Deep purifying pink 02 bubble mask peach (25 g): Another friend of mine is also a lot into skincare, and gifted me this facemask and the following two packaged skincare products.
Iroha Nature - Pre-soaked pads hydrating toner cica + blueberry (10 pcs 25 g): At first I mistook this for a facemask, but what a genius product, pre soaked toner pads. Perfect for travel.
Iroha Nature - Aloe vera and hyloronic acid Soothing and hydrating face mask (20 ml): The third skincare product I got gifted from my friend for my birthday.
PS - Moisturizing avocado sheet mask (23 g): Avocado face mask for 1 Pound at Primark, I just had to.
Primark - Barbie beauty bag: When I spotted this in Primark, I just could not resist and had to buy it.

This was quite a lot for three months, but a few of the items were indeed birthday gifts. But as I got a few facemasks, I really have to put some effort to use these single use sheet face masks.

August - October Haul 2022

So I lost it a little bit in the eye-shadow department in these last few months

Cream eyeshadow and brushes

Liquid eyeshadow, makeup removers and eye cream

Sheet mask and facial concentrates

Body care, hair care, creams and lotions

Facial masks and testers

Maybelline - Color tattoo eyeshadow - Socialite (4 g): I have one eyeshadow from the original launch of the color tattoo, and I absolutely love it. It is one of those products that I am actually close to finishing, as I believe it used to be a part of a project pan in 2019.

RMS beauty - Eye polish - Solar (4,25 g): RMS launched a new series of cream eyeshadows, this type being the old one, and thus on a good discount on the RMS website, so I decided to snatch one up before they go off the market forever.

Revlon - Colorstay cream eyeshadow - 730 praline (5,2 g): I bought this one at the same occasion as the Maybelline one would you believe? The color is beautiful, but the packaging is awful, yes the base is clear class, but the lid is extremely difficult to screw off if it has remained closed for a few days -  so difficult as a matter of a fact, ones hand hurts trying to unscrew it, which makes it not worth it to keep it as it is such a hustle to get into.

BK beauty - 107 flat brush: I had been curious about the BK beauty brand from the moment they launched, as I had watched Lisa J on Youtube for some time before they launched. So I took the advantage of a discount they had running on their web-page.

BK beauty - 101 contoured foundation brush: this brush I was the most curious about out of the entire BK beauty collection. So far I have only used it a handful of times, but it does an immaculate job of blending out foundation.

Armani beauty - Eye tint liquid eyeshadow - 11 rose ashes (3,9 ml): ttsandra raved about this product, and especially this color in one of her youtube videos. And me being on the light pink eyeshadow train, and the Armani website having a sale, it somehow ended up in my posession.

Bioderma - Micellar water makeup remover (250 ml): I have wanted to give this one a try for several years now, so it was about time I picked it up.

Skinfix - Barrier + triple lipid boost 360 brightening eye cream (15 ml): after experiencing dry flaking eye-lids, I decided to grab this eye cream in Sephora, to have in my beauty bag for work. So this one now comes with me when I stay abroad for work, as well as I grab it when at home, and it feels super calming and moisturizing.

Sephora - Waterproof eye makeup remover (200 ml): a tried and true staple in my arsenal of makeup removers.

Garnier - Moisture bomb sheet mask (32 g): my friend bought me the sweetest "take care" package when I was at home with a bad flu at the end of August - tea, honey, candy, cinnamon buns and a facial mask! What a friend!! I was close to tears I tell you!

La Roche-Posay - Hyalu B5 serum, anti-wrinkle concentrate repairing replumping (30 ml): well you will spot a theme here, three anti wrinkle serums/concentrates? Well I guess it is safe to assume the fact the big 4-0 is approaching soon is getting to me.

La Roche-Posay - Retinol B3 serum, anti-wrinkle concentrate renewing resurfacing (30 ml): did I need another concentrate from La Roche-Posay, I guess not, but apparently could not stop myself. Where I am going to find the time to slather all these products on my face, and with the amount of products that await to be used, god knows when I will come around to it.

Ecooking - Night cream (50 ml): This came as a free gift with purchase in Magasin Copenhagen when I bought a few hand soaps from the same brand. And this brand is actually something I am quite interested in, vegan, clean and free from unnecessary ingredients (assumedly).

Joico - K-pak Color therapy - Color protecting shampoo (1 L): I picked this up in Marshalls in Toronto, as I love to buy big jugs of shampoo and conditioner, then you do not have to think about buying it again for months at a time.

Dove - 0% aluminum sensitive deodorant (74 g): like with the eyeshadows I am also on a deodorant shopping spree? I mean how many armpits do I have? Well one good thing is that my previous deodorant is about to be finished

Lumene - Nordic bloom anti-wrinkle & firm moisturizing v-shape serum (30 ml): as Lumene is a brand I really love, I decided to pick up this serum while in Copenhagen. Now I just have to finish a few of the ones waiting in line among my backup products.

Mario Badescu - Drying lotion (29 ml): in the last few months, I have started to develop pimples on my face, this being an issue I have not had to deal with for several years, I decided to pick this drying lotion up which is supposed to work miracles against blemishes.

CeraVe - Therapeutic hand cream (85 g): I was flying with a co-worker who really recommended this hand cream, as with flying, frequent washing of your hands and hand sanitizer they tend to be very dry.

Nature Republic - Real nature mask sheet - olive, bamboo, acai berry, tomato and green tea (23 ml each): My friend who went to S-Korea came bearing gifts after her holiday, five facial masks and a few samples from this brand I have once come across in Toronto before.

Nature Republic - Vitapair C - dark spot serum: I might have to google how to use these samples.

Nature Republic - Snail solution, emulsion: some version of a snail cream - I am exited to try

Nature Republic - Snail solution, skin booster: same for this one. I seriously have to get working on my samples though!

I seriously need to stop shopping....

Empties May - December 2019

So there has been some time since I did an empties tally..

Empties May - December

 More empties

Sóley - Græðir hand cream (50 ml): An excellent moisturizing hand cream, rich enough to make your hands feel soft, but not so thick and rich your hands feel greasy.
Garnier - Micellar cleansing water (125 ml): One of my absolute favorite micellar water in a perfect travel size.
Sephora - Triple action cleansing water face & eyes (400 ml): An average cleansing water, still I prefer the Garnier one, but I love the packaging on this one.
La Roche-Posay - Anthelios lotion SPF 30 (250 ml): I picked this one up in Greece 2017, and managed to finish it this summer on the sundeck at my Boston hotel.
L'occitane - Verveine - cooling hand cream (30 ml): A super light hand cream, not very moisturizing at all.
Bio Effect - EGF serum (5 ml): A small sample size I was gifted. Not my favorite, as it is super sticky after you apply it to your face, but will still use up samples I am given.
Bio Effect - Micellar cleansing water (30 ml): A perfect size to take travelling, a good micellar water, not sure it is worth the regular price tag, which does not apply to me as this was gifted to me.
Avon - Moroccan argan oil (30 ml): An excellent hair oil I used in the ends of my hair, which was a part of my "beauty goals for 2019".
Dr. Hauschka - Facial toner (10 ml): This tester has totally changed my ideas about toners, it is amazing to have it in a sprey bottle, so you can forget messing around with cotton pads. You simply sprey it on and you are done. Good on the environment as well.
Lumene - Arctic spring water enriched - facial mist (100 ml): The product itself is amazing, but I do not like the mister on the bottle, as it spreys such a super fine mist, it kind of sits on top of your peach fuzz above your skin. I just put it in another sprey bottle and it worked perfectly.
Vichy - Aqualia thermal serum (30 ml): LOVE this serum, perfect for sensitive skin. The only grievance is the fact the pump straw, does not reach to the bottom of the bottle. So you have to tip the bottle over to get all the product out.
Lumene - Bright now vitamin C eye cream (15 ml): The time stamp on this product states it is good for 12 months after opening. But how on earth can anyone finish a 15 ml bottle of eye cream in one year? Certainly not me! This I have had for two or three years. Finally I manage to finish it, the only thing though is the fact the eye cream I am using now is 30 ml. Please cosmetics companies can you just make eye creams that come in 10 ml bottles?
Supergoop - Daily correct CC cream - Broad spectrum sunscreen SPF 35 (tester): I got a tester of this product, as it is a 100% mineral sunscreen. And I do in deed love it. It is a bit stiff, as mineral sunscreens tend to be, but perfect under makeup!
Sensai - Concealer brush type - SPF 15 - CB02 Medium (2,6 ml): This concealer lasted for ages, even though it only contains 2,6 ml of product, same again is supposed to be used 12 months after opening. I am pretty sure I had it for two years though. It now has been discontinued, and now comes in a different packaging, with different shade names.
Weleda - Everon lip balm (4,8 g): I completely used this lip balm up to the bone, as I scraped all of the product out from the base. An excellent lip product.
Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara volume Babydoll (2 ml): I have had a tester of this mascara before, and omg even in the tester form it is AMAZING.
Drunk Elephant - Umbra Tinte - Physical daily defense broad spectrum sunscreen SPF 30 (tester): This I also decided to try as it is a purely mineral sunscreen. I prefer this type over the one from Supergoop. Still the one from Supergoop is better if you want to use it without makeup as it is more sheer in color.
Dr. Hauschka - Rose daycream (1,5 ml): A super thick moisturizer, so thick you start to pull and tug on your skin. The cream felt good once on, but too much of a hassle to spread out.
Nature Republic - Real nature hydrogel mask - Aloe vera (22 g): This sheetmask came with whopping 22 g of product. I used the sheetmask itself, once, and poured the rest of the liquid that was remaining in the packaging into a little jar, and was able to use the remains of the product several times, just spreading it out on my skin as a liquid mask and leaving it on for a few minutes.
Skyn Iceland - Hydro cool firming face gels for smile lines (3,1 g): When I was going through my stash of testers in the afternoon on new years eve, I came across this product. And as it felt really hard in the packaging, I decided to open it up, to see if it had dried out. Not at all, what I felt was the plastic tray the mask-pads come in. So there was nothing else to do than to put the mask on for the 10 minutes before doing my makeup for new years eve dinner at my sisters house.
Shea Moissture - African black soap (230 g): This soap has totally saved my perioral dermatitis. I bought it on a recommendation from a perioral dermatitis group on Facebook. Have repurchased already.

Did you finish anything up recently?

USA haul continues

So here are come a few more items I picked up in the last few stop-overs in the States

Sigma brushes and nail polishes

Strengthening nail polish, hand creams and a makeup remover

Face mask

Sigma - Eye shading E55: This is exactly what I was looking for when I bought the Elf eye shadow brush, which turned out to be very different from the one I had previously from Elf. But the Sigma brush is beautiful, picks up eye shadow beautifully and deposits it on they eye perfectly.
Sigma - Blending E25: I was also on the hunt for a blending brush, as I wanted to have the most essential brushes in my makeup bag ready to go, and another set in my bathroom where I always do my makeup. And this brush was do disappointment either, blends product beautifully in the crease.
Sally Hansen Color therapy - 200 Powder room (14,7 ml): I was looking for a dupe for the Wet and Wild polish in 442A, that I decided to finish up this year and is a part of my beauty goals for 2018. This is a bit lighter than the Wet and Wild but pretty close.
Essie - Tea and crumpets (13,5 ml): I got this one first thinking it was a dupe for my Wet and Wild in 442A, but this is more pink than the Wet and Wild one, which is more of a peach nude.
Nailtiques - Formula 2 (7 ml) (12,99 $ + tax @CVS): One of the senior stewardesses on one of my flights recommended this polish for peeling nails, and said this was the only thing that worked for her nails which had the same peeling problem. And as The opi nail envy does not seem to be doing any miracles on my nails I decided to pick this one up and give it a try.
Kiko - intensive hand cream (60 ml): I thought I was running out of hand creams at home so I decided to pick this one up as it has a pleasant and a nice scent and seemed very soothing on my hands when I tried it out in store.
Lancome - Bi-Facil double action eye makeup remover (200 ml) (40 $ + tax @Sephora): I am running out of a good eye makeup remover, and as Lancome Bi-Facil has never failed me before I decided to pick it up in Sephora.
Nature Republic - Lime hand cream (30 ml) (8,90 $ + tax for 2 @Nature Republic): I ran into this cute little store in NYC where they were selling these Korean cosmetics, and body products. And did the hand creams just suck me in as there were scented with very different scents from the average hand cream.
Nature Republic - Avacado hand cream (30 ml): as there was an offer 2 for 8,9 $ this was the second one I chose.
Nature Republic - Real nature hydrogel mask with aloe vera (22 g): There were several different masks to choose from, but I decided to pick this one up as many of the cabin crew tend to burn in Boston, and as that is my next stop I decided to pick this one up, just in case.

So now less than one month after my latest "haul" I have managed to buy three more items from my quota for the year of 2018, three more nail polishes. So now I have gotten up to 15 out of 18 of the quota for 2018. But given that nail-polish is something I have to wear for work, it is not the absolute worst spending of my quota.
