Empties September - December 2018

Here they are the items I used up from September to December 2018, also there are included two declutters.

Empties + declutters September - December 2018

Beauty by Zazie - Nail polish remover (250 ml): a generic nail polish remover, I found this one to be very dry and hard on my nails and will for sure next time buy one more suited for sensitive, and dry nails.
Peter Thomas Roth - Mega rich body lotion (24 ml): a small body lotion I got at a hotel some years back. It had a thin and light consistency that sunk into the skin very rapidly.
Dove - Intense repair overnight cream (120 ml): finally managed to finish this hair repair cream. Would I buy it again? Probably not
Clinique - Bottom lash mascara in 01 black (2 ml): This I bought on a whim some time ago, I found it a bit dried out from day one, and would for sure not recommend or buy again.
Lumene - Bright now visible repair, tone corrector serum (30 ml): A light creamy consistent serum/cream. Would I recommend? Yes I absolutely recommend and love everything I have tried by this brand.
Abercrombie & Fitch - First instinct - woman eau de toilette (2 ml): A nice scent but considering my stash of perfumes, I do not need one more at this time.
Gosh - Darling lashes, extreme volume mascara (10 ml): When I cracked open into this one I found out it had dried out, so this is a decluttered item.
Boots - Ingredients - Sheet face mask, charcoal & willow bark, cleansing & purifying (20 ml): This mask had a whopping 20 ml, and after using the sheet mask inside, I was able to use the remaining liquid in the packaging for 2 more applications. It had a light gel consistency and had a minor tingling and cooling sensation when first applied to the face.
Almay - eyeliner - 207 brown (0,28 g): This item is also a decluttered item, as when I cracked into it, it was dried out, when I broke a tip of it, it seemed to be soft enough for the eyes, but when I tried to apply it on my eyes, it turned out to be too dry and hard to apply.
Lancome le crayon kohl noir (0,7 g): this item was a roll over product from 2017 and finally I managed to use this one up this year. And considering how long this item lasted, compared to the Almay roll up pencil, a wooden eyeliner seems to have a much longer shelf life than a roll up one.
Dr. Belmeur advanced - Cica recovery cream (1,2 ml): This I got as a sample in a beauty store in Toronto, if I remembered correctly. These small samples are perfect for depotting into a small jar to take with me while travelling.

Did you finish anything of late?

Current cravings and how to curb them

I have in fact gotten over the crave for Urban Decay eyeshadow in half baked during my mission to finish up some items in my collection. But it didn't last for long as of late I saw a beautiful eyelook with the Body Shop Chocolate box shimmer cubes 06 on youtube.

The Body Shop chocolate box shimmer cubes in 06

I have not gone in person recently to swatch them, but have swatched the shimmer cubes in stores through the years, and what I remember is they are VERY shimmery and I never really was tempted to buy any of them, if it was due to shimmer, the packaging or the size (it is a lot of product 4x4 grams that would last for years and years).
The more I looked online through swatches of the shimmer box, the more I came to realize I must have these shadows, or very similar in my collection, and this is what I came up with:

My "shimmer box"

Swatches

So my shimmer box 06 from the Body Shop is made of:
Wet and wild comfort zone palette: the first swatch is a mix of the two top left colors (browbone and eyelid)
Almay intense i-color in 412 trio for blues: the bottom color of this trio is the second swatch
Maybelline single eyeshadow in silken taupe: the third swatch
Almay intense i-color in 412 trio for blues: the brown in this trio is the fourth and last swatch
You can compare my swatches to swatches taken by Beautyshelfie and British beauty addict and see if you think they are similar or not.

At least I do not need to invest in the Body shop palette, as I seem to have all the colors in it.

Hope this has been an inspiration for you to go through your stash when you get the next craving for a product.

Empties March - April 2014

So these were the empties these two months:

Trash-goers

Versace Bright crystal eau de toilette - a light and feminine scent

Tommy Hilfiger True star Gold - a little bit spicy scent

Avon advance techniques moroccan argan oil - this thing worked wonders on my dry ends, and it's not that expensive either - a win win. Recommend 100% for dry ends, it will change your hair.

Lumene arctic aqua 24h balancing moisturizer -

Crabtree & Evelyn La Source relaxing body lotion - a light and quick absorbing body lotion, but I just hate the smell of it - never going to buy again.

Zara lip gloss - a pink lipgloss that goes on a bit clear, an average lip gloss, a bit on the sticky side, so take care and not put too mutch on - Buy again? No.

Olivelia by macrovita lip balm in vanilla -  a super soft and moisturizing lip gloss - would definetly buy again if I can get my hands on it (probably somewhere in Greece)

dr.organic organic pomengranate lip balm - this is a bit on the waxy side, but I love the fact it's organic and lasts a long time on the lips, I always put this on my lips before I go to bed. Buy again? Yes when I have made a dent on my stock of lip products.

Bodyfarm avocado nourishing night cream for all skin types (sample) - a bit thick cream, propably great for dry skin - as I have combination skin I would only use this once a week - as it's too rich for my skin.

And then this sucker:

Almay oil free gente eye makeup remover - worst makeup remover I have ever used - see video here

See you soon with more empties,
Ella
